It started with replicas.

The courage to set out on new paths was demonstrated already by the founders of Umarex. When legislation was passed to restrict the sale of lethal weapons, Wulf-Heinz Pflaumer and Franz Wonisch acquired licenses to build replicas that could be sold over the counter. This set the course for the future. Umarex grew to become the world's largest manufacturer of replica guns and formed the nucleus of the expanding corporate group that was named the PW Group in 2010.

The PW Group has always looked for challenges. This has put it in an excellent position for the future. Now the second generation of owners and partners is in command.
